Reciprocal Club Arrangements

Amongst the many additional benefits of being a member of Aboyne Golf Club are our reciprocal arrangements with a number of courses in the immediate area under the 'Deeside League Reciprocal Agreement'. In addition, we also have very favourable terms with a number of highly regarded courses namely Golspie, Tain, Fraserburgh, Inverallochy, Duff House Royal, Alyth, Strathmore and Kirriemuir. Amongst the many benefits of being a 'full' member of Aboyne Golf Club, we have joined forces to offer members very favourable playing rights at the other local courses who take part in the 'Deeside League'.

This entitlement is for eligible 'Full' and 'Country' category members of Aboyne GC.  At this moment in time, it does not extend to 'Twilight'; '9-Hole', 'Overseas' or PMG category members.   

Eligible members will need to show your Aboyne membership card on arrival at the participating course in order to qualify for the discounted rate.

Set on the spectacular Aberdeenshire North East coastline, Fraserburgh is a James Braid designed course and the 5th oldest in Scotland.

Wildly undulating fairways, sandy hills, wonderful views and some truly spectacular holes make Fraserburgh a true links adventure. 

Aboyne members can play Fraserburgh for the reduced rate of £20 per round (weekday twilight) or £30 before 4PM. Weekends from 1PM £40 or after 4PM the price reduces to £20.

Founded in 1888, Inverallochy Golf Club, is a beautiful links course on the North-East coast of Scotland near to Fraserburgh.

Inverallochy is an 18 hole links course boasting views of the North Sea from every hole. 

Although fairly short by modern day standards (a par 67 at 5,436 yards) it presents a very testing challenge for golfers of all capabilities.  Being on the north east tip of Scotland, there is almost always wind - just can never guarantee from which direction!  Take a look at their course video by clicking on this link

Set on the spectacular Aberdeenshire coast near Banff, Duff House Royal is a beautiful parkland course. The famous River Deveron borders five holes and flows into the sea through the seven-span Banff Bridge, which forms the backdrop to the closing holes.

Nestling within the borders of the tree-lined course is Duff House, considered one of the grandest classical country houses built in the 18th century and managed by Historic Scotland.

Aboyne members can play Duff House Royal for the reduced rate of £20 per round.

Golspie Golf Course designed by James Braid is situated on the Dornoch Firth with a beguiling mix of classic links, heath and parkland holes.

The course has stunning views from all holes of the Dornoch Firth on one side and the backdrop of Ben Bhraggie on the other.

The Par 70 course offers an excellent golfing experience whether you are a plus 1 handicapper or an enthusiastic beginner.

Golspie Golf Course are delighted to be rated rated as nr 54 in Golf World's Top 100 courses in Scotland for 2015.

Overlooking the Dornoch Firth, Tain arguably offers one of the best settings imaginable in the Highlands. With sea on one side and the backdrop of the mountains behind, the classic Old Tom Morris Championship Links course in Ross-shire is a must for all Golfing Connoisseurs.

Aboyne Members can play three rounds per season for £10 per round. There any no restrictions on playing time; however, tee reservations must be made no further than seven days in advance.

Juniors are eligible when accompanied by a playing adult.

Set in beautiful Perthshire, Alyth is an 18-hole (6,259 yd) heathland layout established in 1895. The original 9 holes were designed by the master Old Tom Morris of St Andrews with James Braid completing the extension in 1934.

Our members can play Alyth for £20 per round.

A James Braid course nestling at the foot of the Angus Glens, Kirriemuir Golf Club is a true gem.

Aboyne members can take advantage of the Carnoustie Country and James Braid rate which this year is set at £22 per person. Bookings 7 days in advance.

Set in the heart of the Strathmore valley, Strathmore Golf Centre was opened in 1996

The centre has something for everyone, the par 72, Rannaleroch course has generous fairways, rolling greens and is a challenge to good golfers while forgiving for the "not so good".  The 9-hole Leitfie Links is ideal for beginners or for a quick round if you are short for time.

Aboyne members can play Strathmore for £20 adults (£10 juniors).
