Welcome to the Aboyne Golf Club

Welcome to the Aboyne Golf Club website.  This long-established golf club plays over an 18-hole course which blends into the rolling countryside to the north of the Deeside village of Aboyne, offering an especially warm welcome to visitors.

The course provides a fine test for golfers of all abilities. It presents a rich variety of memorable holes making the most of the natural variations in the terrain which is a mix of rolling parkland with inviting fairways and elevated links-like heathland with tighter targets. Mature trees and water are in play on many holes, with the Loch of Aboyne being a notable feature. The course lies on a free-draining soil and enjoys a surprisingly dry micro-climate. It is exceptionally well-maintained and shows little, if any, of the usual signs of the passage of golfers.

The setting, by the Loch of Aboyne, is superb with splendid views of the Dee valley, ranging from Clachnaben to the distant peak of Lochnagar. There is every chance you will be diverted from the task before you by the visit of an osprey or the sighting of terns or a heron fishing the shallows of the loch.

The modern clubhouse offers every facility and there are few better places to relax after an enjoyable game. Visitors and members alike can appreciate the warm hospitality provided by the clubhouse staff while admiring the fine panoramic views from the upstairs lounge or balcony.

Our friendly professional, Steven Moir, runs a shop which is particularly well-stocked with golf equipment and clothing for both ladies’ and gent’s. Steven offers a full range of services including the hire of buggies, trolleys and clubs.

Regardless of your score, a visit to Aboyne Golf Club will leave you with pleasant memories and a strong wish to return.
